Our Local Coordinator, Luci Womack, reports: "The Fort Collin's NDS&R was a complete success this year! We were blessed with overcast and cool weather for our harvest day in the Oshun Community Garden. We spent four hours pulling weeds, gathering veggies, and frolicking with the farm animals."

"After the harvest, we took our bounty to the kitchen and began making burritos. This was an awesome effort as we had 20 volunteers in the kitchen chopping, sautéing, and wrapping the burritos. This was a lively community building experience and a time where I was able to share Gabe's and the Foundation's story. Next, we took our burritos downtown to a park that is adjacent to a homeless shelter where we were able to provide a local, organic, and nutritious dinner to 50 homeless and hungry individuals. The response that we received from these people was overwhelmingly positive and appreciative."
